Hello. I write essays, criticism, profiles and fiction. I have written for the New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, The Guardian and many other places. My short stories have been published in The Stinging Fly and Granta. My first novel Lazy City was published in 2023.
I do not call myself a journalist because I make no claim to objectivity in my work. If you are writing about me, the accurate way to describe my non fiction work is to call me a critic.
